Dear sir/madam,
Greetings of the day!!

I have purchased jiofi model no - jmr 520 on 15th sept from reliance digital phoenix mall lucknow. Sim got activated on 18th sept and jio4gvoice application is working properly but suddenly on 20th sept when i checked my cellphone it start showing offline. Afterwards i have tried everything reinstalling the app, configuring the device on others smartphone but it now always shows offline. I am attaching the recorded video of the whole process and the message it is showing to better understand the problem along with device details & device photo.

One more thing i have to share i have tested my sim on two different jiofi devices apart from my device.

1. When i tested my sim with old jiofi model (Without display) the same problem gets resolved and jio4gvoice is showing online.

2. When i tested my sim with new jiofi jmr 520 model (Another one of my friend) the same problem continues and jio4gvoice is showing offline.

Hoping for a early reply with some solution as i am not able to make calls.

Company have updated the firmware of the device through online update . You can check it at Router Front page(192.168.15.1) Firmware Creation Date - 21/Sept/2016. For those whose devices are still on old firmware (march 2016) keep your device powered on as much as possible bcz they are updating the device firmware from their end only. I am also facing the same problem,
The day from which I have purchased Gio sim (22.9.2016), GIO4GVoice app is showing offline.
I reinstalled the app & configured it many times, but still is showing offline.
Due to this I am unable to make calls.
Also, when I try to register my gio app, it sends password in Jio sim. Since due to offline, my device is not getting sms OTP on app, I am unable to register my jio app also.

I tried to contact jio customer care, but only music is heard & no one is receiving the phone to resolve my complaint.

Also contacted reliance digital, but no-one was able to resolve my complaint.

Please help to resolve the issue

Did you received the firmware update and what was the firmware version and it's creation date?
If yes after firmware getting updated, did offline problem got resolved!! Also it will be great if you can share your updated screenshot of (192.168.15.1).

I tried calling JIO from last 7 days but there customer service is really pathetic they do not even understand the issue properly.

You know I have raised several tickets : SR00000... starting with this several ticket numbers for same issue but they never replied back.

They do not even care I tried contacting them through different channels however they never reverted with a working solution.

Now I see on this platform a comment, which shows JIO replied still not sure the authenticity of the solution given and also it is not clear from where this solution came.

As today is 1st OCT 2016 and I have not received any update yet from JIO. For proof I have attached the screenshot of the router page please check.

If anyone out there who is using JIO JMR520 jiofi model with Display panel and connecting jio4gvoice on a 3G phone please let us know if they got any update which resolved the said issue.

Hi I am also facing the same problem on my jiofi2. I checked the firmware creation date..its still showing 31st march 2016. My device is switch on almost time but still its not updated. Could you please let me know if there is any manual way to update the firmware?
And also what is the new version of firmware launched?

Device showing software updating and then device rebooting from half an hour its showing device rebooting how much time it will take to reboot.

I got a msg on jiofi device that firmware is upgrading. After some time it says rebooting the device and it took some time so I switched off and restarted. And after two three days it says upgrade err.
I check my firmware virson which is old one.
Now how can I update again?

You can't do anything only they can update from their end.

From last two days, I've seen the software updating message a lot of time while restarting my device, but every time it fails with "update err.." message.

There's a way to manually upgrade your device from the jiofi site, http://192.168.15.1/index.html. For this, all you need to do is login into the admin account and then go to the Firmware menu. There, there's two submenus, Software Upgrade and Configuration Backup. Go to Software Upgrade, upload the file, connect your device to the computer using USB and done.

Mr Abhishek, can you upload the upgrade firmware here, so that it can help all o[censored]s.?? Please.
Please let us know whether the JIOFI offline problem is of router or else the 3G mobiles,

If the the problem with the version of mifi device, what should be version to make use of the JIO4GVOICE.
and where we can get these updated version from JIOFI office/PLAY STORE ?
To solve this problem go to nearest LYF service centre and ask them to update firmware. They would defenitely upadte within next 30 mins.

To solve this offline problem, you just need to visit to the nearest LYF service centre, and ask them to update the firmware. They would outrightly update firmware within next 30 mins.

You can find service centre on their website.

Below is the proof that my problem was solved and JIO4GVoice is online now.

So don't worry and pay a visit to the nearest LYF service centre.

Can any one who has successfully received the update, export his latest firmware and email to me. called LYF care they asked to call Jio Help Line and jio help line don't have any help and i think they require some help.

To solve this problem, you need to get your JioFi device updated to the latest firmware. Follow steps below to force a OTA update w/o having a firmware update file.

Lyf or Jio does not provide with the firmware update files. These updates are auto checked for and installed.

I was able to find the solution on a comment to a youtube video by Bishwas Akhil. The original video is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJdGgWPUTOM

I had to reset the device 5 times before the update worked for my device. If the device is caught in a long "Rebooting device" sequence, then that means that the update failed and you will need to reset the device once more.

To force a firmware update, follow this process:

Finally got solution after 100 times of R&D, for all who has issues with JioFI JMR520 and not getting new update.

1. Reset your JioFI (refer manual) (Don't close back cover as of now)
2. Keep in mind that JioFI should be active and having good Signals.
3. After rest JioFI will start itself automatically.
4. Keep looking JioFI as after starting its LED will be of and within few mins you will receive a Update.
5. If at the last of the Update, you see Update Err, then Immidiately push Reset button atleast for 3 seconds, JioFI will start again and will take update normally on next restart.
6. Next time Update may take 10 Mins, let it take its own time.

Its worked for me after alot of tension and tens of calls to LYF / JIO but no help at all.

Please follow the steps very carefully.

1. IF you are getting Update Err, immediately press the reset button for 3 sec. Device will reset itself again.
2. After restart devise will again start updating and this time it will take some time.
3. Always keep in mind that Signals should be high and Stable enough.
4. Keep your battery door open and keep device in your hand as this is a very very low quality Chinese product and battery is loose in this.
5. hoping after following these steps your problem would be resolved.
6. after successful update let it take as much as time it want to restart.

When you see Update Err message, immediately you have to press Reset button, without waiting for any restart or any other message.

It worked for me in single chance, if not worked then you may need to repeat for few times.

i am expecting that while updating EPROM gets full and in case of failure, files were not cleared by the device. because there is no space new updates are not coming fully. give some tries as per the process i mentioned and it should work.

Moreover these no help from LYF/JIO, LYF saying their service center for mobiles only and JIO don't have any service center. Reliance is playing ULLU BNAWING gave, launching buggy devices in market, everyone who has this device are facing a lot of troubles.

Is this Firmware file given toy you by the Lyf service center person ?

just walk into any LYF service centre and get it updated. it takes around 10-15 minutes for the whole process.
