Sang Placement Services — I'm complaining about a fraud done in case of employment committed by Sang Placement Services

Hi,

I would like to file a complaint against Sang Placement Services where I applied for a job which was posted by the organization on Shine job portal. The vacancy for Professor/Assistant Professor was posted by the organization for Dubai/Qatar/ Kuwait and Jordan location. When I approached the organization, it was told to me that I can apply for Qatar University for Assistant Professor profile. The placement service asked me for a charge of Rs. 26, 000/- in installments where I paid Rs. 1000 initially. My interview was conducted by the organization and a personnel (possibly from Qatar or from Middle East - as identified by the dialect and accent) called me and told me that one ID will be generated after which I have to submit Rs6500 /- which I did and my interview was conducted successfully. I received an offer letter from Qatar University after paying an amount of Rs. 18, 500/-. The offer letter was directly from the domain of Qatar University from the mail [protected]@qu.edu.qa. I got a call also from the landline number registered from Qatar University which is either a hacked number or some technical fraud has been done where the name of Qatar University is used.

After some time the agent of the placement service, Mr. Harsh Tyagi (Contact Number - [protected]) told me that I have to pay amount of Rs. 97000/- for the verification of my Employment, Education and Civil part. The amount for all three respectively was Rs. 40750/-, 25500/- and 31350. It was told to me that this verification will be done by Pinkerton and I will get the verfication ID. I transferred the amount to the bank details Indian Overseas Bank, A/c Name - Sang Placement Services, A/c No - [protected], IFSC code - IOBA0000381. After waiting for a month time I was told that I have to pay an additional amount of Rs. 81500/- for the civil verification of my family. I refused to pay for which Mr. Harsh said that they can pay on my behalf the amount of Rs. 50000/- and the rest has to be done by me. I paid the amount of Rs. 31, 500/- after which I was told that a Delhi visit will be scheduled for me and my family soon where I will receive the offer letter and other formalities will be completed.

About waiting for a month, Mr. Harsh stopped responding to my calls and messages. I got a number of another agent of Sang Placement through Shine portal and his name is Mr. Rohit Kumar (Number - [protected]). He said that Mr. Harsh will not attend your case since someone expired in his family and he will take over. He shared another email with me sent by Qatar University about the visit date for Delhi which was for 4th to 6th of July 2023 and in the mail it was also written that I will get my offer letter on 1st of July 2023. It was also mentioned in the mail that I have to complete the visa security formalities for which Mr. Rohit Kumar informed me that I have to pay Rs. 1, 22, 000/-. I straight away denied telling him that this was not told to me earlier and I am not ok with the process. He mentioned that the entire amount is going to be refunded by the University and told me that I will get my offer letter and visit details only when the amount is going to be paid. I negotiated and told him that I can arrange only Rs. 50000/- which I paid to him in the same bank account and after that he told me to wait for sometime for the offer letter.

Since 7th of July 2023, Mr Rohit Kumar has stopped responding to my calls and messages and his number is continuously on a switch off mode.

I would like to request the authorities to take immediate action on this organization. They are doing a big level fraud in the name of promising employment to needy people.

I am having a speculation that these people are also using another firm by the name of Innovative Career Services where the same message was posted through shine portal as it was done by Sang placement. The agent for Innovative Career Services is by the name Amit Tyagi (number - [protected]).

Please help me in revealing their fraud. If anyone has any kind of detail related to this, I would request you to kindly post it in this forum so that we can get hold of these scammers.
