Sareeka.com — Sareeka sent me an unwearable saree

I ordered a Royal Blue Georgette Designer Saree from Sareeka on 31st August 2015, with extra options including: readymade stitched saree and inskirt, and a stitched blouse. I kept my own records of the order, including all the measurements which I had given. The Sareeka order number was 21150. I expected the saree to be sent by 20th September latest, as promised by Sareeka. It was not despatched until 12th October. When it arrived, I found several defects which made the saree unwearable. They included the following defects: The blouse was far too small to fit me, because the tailored dimensions were totally wrong. Some critical dimensions were 4” (100mm) smaller than the measurements which I had given. The bust of the blouse was also damaged by red spots in the material. The saree tailoring did not correspond to the promises in the Sareeka website. For example, I had paid for the "readymade stitched saree and inskirt" options. The saree arrived with poor quality limited pleating at the waist, instead of the full pleating and inskirt attachment which had been promised. I emailed a list of these defects to Sareeka on 15th October, and asked for a full refund when I returned the saree to them. I received a rather insulting reply which said: “Dear customer, Sorry for inconvenience. On your next purchase we will provide you 10% discount.” I telephoned Sareeka, and sent two more emails (16th October and 10th November) but the company has not bothered to reply. I also submitted a review to the Sareeka website on 10th November. This has not been published on their website. I checked and found that all the reviews on the Sareeka website are good reviews. I realized that the company controls the reviews, and only publishes the good ones. How many bad reviews have been sent to Sareeka but not published? Also, how many of the “good” reviews are from genuine customers? I am still trying to get a refund from Sareeka for my unwearable saree. Meanwhile, I recommend that you do not buy anything from Sareeka, as you may end up losing money as I have done. (Complaint submitted by Annie, UK)
