CONTACTED DRIVER SURESH AT 16005 and adviised him of
my requirement of a round trip from Eanchakkal to Pattom and return with a wait time of about 5mins and also couple halts enroute of 5 mins each.
He immediately quoted a rate of Rs.320/ for the trip. I told him I would pay as per OLA instructions & tariff only. He retorted that he cannot take the ride at OLA rates. Further he made some unsavoury remarks about OLA on how the company is working against the interests of independent taxi operators. he was rude and I dont think OLA should retain such drivers.
I use OLA regularly and it is only in Trivandrum I face such situations.Earlier I had booked a cab at night for airport at 05.30am. At 0530 I get a call from the driver stating his inability to pick me because of the distance he has to travel! He put me in a difficult situation and I had to use the help of my neighbour to reac the airport CRN[protected]JUNE and cancellation message received at 05.18am. Driver Sivaprasad[protected]
