ShopClues.com — shopclues provide a defective product and now refusing to accept return

Hi,

My registered email id with shopclues is: [protected]@gmail.com
Order id:[protected]
Return id: 5687164
Product ordered: ikall k71 (Single sim, 1.4 inch display, 800 mah battery, bis certified)

I already paid the money through credit card while ordering.

The above order was delivered on 29-jan-2018. After opening this product i found that, sim card is not recognized. Even after inserting the sim multiple times, i found the error message which says "insert sim"

After i found the product to be defective, i have placed the return request on 30-jan-2018, with the above mentioned return id.

Today i have got a reply from their customer service executive, where they have stated that they cannot take back the product and asked me to contact the authorized service center of ikall.

This is really unacceptable.

As per the return policy of shopclues.com it is clearly mentioned in their website that:

"•the product is eligible for return in one of the following cases provided the complaint/return request is registered within 48 hours of delivery
- product is defective/damaged."

This is clearly a case of online fraud being done from shopclues, and cheating the customer by giving defective product, and then by not following the return policy.

Kindly help me out in this regards, so that i can return the product and get my money back.

Hi,

I have just now got a call from one executive of shopclues.com. This call came from the mobile number: +91 [protected]. This person behaved extremely rudely with me. Firstly he communicated that the money cannot be refunded back in my credit card account. And then when I told him that I am ready to share my Account Number, he stated that he does not want my Account Number, BUT HE NEEDS MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER to process the return.

Why will I provide my Debit Card number to Shopclues over the phone?? This is completely ridiculous. Seems to me like an attempt to do Online fraud.

If I provide my bank account details, why is it not possible for them to refund my money in my account? And not only that when I refused to give my Card number, this person behaved extremely rudely and disconnected the phone on my face.

My question is are they doing me any favour here?

I am requesting the concerned authority to look into this complaint on priority.
