My name is Anand Bhavsar and I'm from Mumbai.
I started my graduation with Sikkim Manipal Distance Education - BA (Political Science) in January 2012 and finished it in May 2015.

I've recently applied for Canadian PR and had to get my graduation certificate assessed.
I completed all the formalities with The International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS) however, they rejected the requested with the reason " To deliver a program by distance education, the program must be approved by the Distance Education Bureau (formerly the Distance Education Council)."
After numerous email sent to ICAS, they have finally agreed that the university needs to provide evidence of program recognition by the Distance Education Council.
In one of the email, I got from the university, they have mentioned " Regarding the validity of the admissions. The admission taken in the recognized open and distance learning programme during the recognition period stands recognized till the completion of the programme. (Ref. UGC Public Notice, vide F.No.1-22/2018 (DEB-I), November 2019). "
The response from the university didn't help as ICAS has mentioned in their email that "To consider the credential for assessment, they would require a document issued to the university by the DEB which confirms the recognition of this specific program at the time of my attendance."
I've been following up with the university for a long time but I'm unable to close this issue. I need your help with this. Please look into this matter. Hoping for a positive response from you.
