Sister Nivedita University — Non refund of initial deposit

In nutshell -

I enrolled my daughter by submitting a personal initial deposit of INR 72, 300 for an undergraduate course in June 2023. However, due to a better opportunity for my daughter, I promptly applied for a full refund the following day, in accordance with UGC regulations. Despite the institution's UGC recognition, they failed to process the refund within the mandated 15-day period.

Despite my official refund application, accompanied by all required documents and bank instruments, and nearly fifty emails to various officials, including the Registrar and the Dean, I received no response. Subsequently, I filed an online complaint with the UGC, and although the watchdog directed the university to issue a full refund, this directive was also ignored. As a result, I am compelled to pursue legal action against the university.
