I am writing on behalf of my mother who drives a skoda octavia May 2018 model. We have in total driven ~18k km till date as per the odometer reading.
We are appalled by the negligence of the Skoda authorized service center technicians in Kerala. We seem to have damaged the engine thermostat of the car due to their negligence.
In the latest incident on 09-Aug-2022, we had to take the car "again" to the service center due to the warning lights turning ON in the instrument cluster, only then did the service center mention that they had noticed coolant color change a year ago during the periodic service in Aug-2021. We are surprised by the fact that the service center did not bring this issue to our attention despite taking the car 2 times to the service center prior to this incident and after the periodic service in Aug-2021 with issues including the warning lights turning ON in the instrument cluster.
Prior to this incident, we have always placed our trust on the service center and agreed to all maintenance/replacements suggested by the service center till date. A few months ago we had also extended the warranty for the 5th and 6th year as per the recommendation from the service center.
Is it too much to expect that the service center would be able to do the necessary maintenance and diagnose any problems with the car?. The reason why we prefer to give the car to an authorized service center is to have a hassle free experience.
We are also worried about any other damages that could have occured over the last year to the engine due to their failure to notify us and have therefore lost trust in the Skoda authorized service center now. Was this information helpful? |
