Dear Sir/ Madam,
My Vehicle MH02CV3717 was initially starting issue. I requested Skoda Service Centre for repair. Two mechanics from Skoda had visited, checked in details but could not rectify it. They advised to bring the vehicle to Workshop ( WS). During that time, the horn & light was working OK.
Vehicle was handed over to Service Centre on 25.07.2022. While receiving it, they had checked it, observed other defects but did not mention any horn defects. Till that time ( 25.07.2022) Horn was OK.
I was in constant touch over phone with the Service Manager & Mechanic. Not a single occasion, I was informed about this Horn problems.
Service Centre had kept this vehicle for 7 days. During that period, I repeatedly had requested Mechanic to check in details and rectify any other defects if noticed. They checked but did not mention about any Horn Defects.
On 27th July, they submitted total estimates. In that estimates also, they had not mentioned any Horn defects. That means, till 27th July, the horn of the vehicle was OK.
On 31st July, Skoda raised final Bills for repairing work & it was fully paid instantly & then they had handed over the vehicle. While handing over, they informed that the Horn was dead.
With all the above facts, it shows the horn was in good condition but was out of order on last day when vehicle was under their possession.
From all the facts mentioned above, my submission is -
01. Horn was dead at Service Centre level while handling it & there is no point of penalizing me for Rs 26000\- towards its repair cost.
02. Skoda Service should handover the vehicle in good working condition ( as regards -Horn system) as received at the beginning.
It is requested to repair/ replace horn system to normal working condition at responsibility & Cost of M/s Skoda India.
Please intimate me the decision so that, I can send you the vehicle for repair/replacement.
Thanking you
Yours Faithfully
