On 03.03.2024 mt Skoda Kushaq ( 2 and half years old with total running of 17000 KM) stopped moving forward or backward in spite of providing acceleration. Skoda RSA team was called and they towed the vehicle to their service centre. I visited the workshop on 04, 03, 2024. Their engineer shown me the total worn out of clutch plate and its associated accessories. The estimate given for repair as Rs.43000/-. On asking the reason, they told the poor habits of driving like driving of vehicle with hand breaks on or driving with half clutch pressed. I disputed with both the reasons because vehicle has audio visual alarm for running of vehicle with hand breaks on. How is it possible that driver missed both. For running of vehicle with half clutch pressed, I am driving the vehicle since 2010 and never faced such type of problem. On discussion with their service head, she said Skoda kushaq is a recently launched vehicle and have a special feature i.e. vehicle start moving on releasing of clutch even without acceleration. This is not the unique feature and available on all the vehicle. The 2nd they deliver the vehicle duly repaired. It shows that service centre kept all the clutch plate and associated parts in ready stock looking to their rate of failures for skoda kushaq which was launched only on 2021.. Normally the parts rarely failed are being called from factory. Was this information helpful? |
