Dear All,
I am Pramod Kumar Singh, and I bought a Skoda Kushaq from M/s Skoda Imperial Vehicles in Jamshedpur on March 1, 2022. When I originally received the car, it had some difficulties with rattling sounds on the doors, hand brake lever, and armrest. These concerns were quickly addressed with the sales team at the dealership. The staff had informed me that certain small difficulties would be resolved. I'm not sure how the PDI was completed; it should have been done thoroughly, as this demonstrates the importance of the task.
Furthermore, after a few days, I drove my car for a few hundred kilometers and found another problem with A/C cooling and a flickering speedometer light, which I reported to the team.
On April 24, 2022, I had another problem with my car starting. I contacted the concerned again to remedy the problem, but this time I was in Jamshedpur. When I contacted the concerned party, he replied, "Due to Sunday, we can't provide you for any support." I was really stunned and astounded to hear that response, but I persisted in my efforts to remedy the matter. Finally, someone advised me to call Skoda support at their toll-free number, which I did, and a representative eventually arrived and informed me that the car needed to be taken to the service center.
This incident occurred about 12:00 p.m. I was once again shocked when the car arrived at the servicing center about 7 p.m. on April 25, 2022. They took more than 30 hours, even though the service center was barely 8 kilometers away (approximately). Again, I detailed all my issues, and my vehicle was at the service shop for more than ten days. I was told that all of difficulties had been fixed, but I was surprised to learn that none of them had been resolved. When I called the service team, I was once again asked to visit the service center.
Again, on July 8, 2022, the car was left at the service facility for issue resolution, and on July 22, 2022, I personally went to pick up my vehicle. Meanwhile, it was confirmed twice that the difficulties had been resolved. When the car was returned from the service shop and driven for 10 to 15 kilometers, it was found that none of the problems had been resolved.
Rectification action: Learned about it through a chat with the support staff
Starting problem – There was a loose connection.
Door rattling sound – The sound of the door shaking has been examined, and invisible tape has been applied twice. Now, please explain what type of technology it is, as this is my third car, and how reliable this solution is. It's a straightforward example of bad quality.
AC cooling problem - All filters have been cleaned, and the gas has been recharged. Once again, it is an example of low quality.
Speedometer light flickering issue – No clue about this.
Considering all above problems, it seems that vehicle is having manufacturing defect and Skoda team is trying to escape by wasting time.
As I previously stated, the entire sales and service team of M/s Imperial Skoda, knows that I reside in Noamundi, which is approximately 125 kilometres away from the service centre, and as a working professional, I have to take prior leave to go anywhere, and even then, this issue had not been resolved and incorrect information was given to the customer. This level of value and attention you provide to your customers.
After raising so many complains, couple of times I have discussed the issue with the Skoda customer care team. It is quite disheartening to say that they call to just put their words in my mouth because the first thing they say is "Your problem has been resolved." When you start discussing your situation, their response completely changes, and the most usual response is that an escalation has been completed, and the concerned team will contact you. But, unfortunately, neither from the Skoda team nor the dealership contacted me. I've contacted them several times. I've never seen such a negative response from one of the world's greatest brands.
As I understand from personal experience, Skoda has no respect and no interest in its customers since after so many complaints, and that too from day one, they should have taken the matter seriously and shown interest in fixing it. So, I urge that the Skoda team return my vehicle and reimburse the money loaned to the bank. As I bought the car to drive and make my life simpler, not to keep it in service and claim warranty, I know Skoda staff would screw me because I have raised my voice to have my difficulties with brand new vehicle rectified, and their behaviour says unsaid words.
