[Resolved] Skoda India — Skoda Rapid - Delivered with Manufacturing defects | |||
I took delivery of the vehicle Skoda Rapid from Gurudev Motors Arumbakkam Chennai on 26/06/2015 .From day one the vehicle developed a technical snag i.e. while driving the vehicle automatically tracking to the left side, so to keep the vehicle in control I have to hold the steering firmly, which caused in shoulder pain. I went to show room and reported this problem to the manager Mr. Ruben and to Mr. Raja the sales person, who in turn took me to the workshop downstairs and arranged a mechanic for a test drive and we went for a test drive. The mechanic asked me to leave the vehicle so that they can check the alignment of the wheels, accordingly I left the vehicle and no job card was given to me. In the evening, I was informed the vehicle was ready after a minor adjustment in the wheel alignment. After two days the same problem occurred and I took the vehicle to your workshop. During that time they checked everything and said there might be tyre fault and interchanged the front left tyre & rear side right tyre and delivered the vehicle. The next day, again I have faced the same problem. In addition to that, the A.C. Compressor of the vehicle started to cut off automatically leading to suffocation. Again I went to the dealer and the vehicle was test driven and the mechanic asked me to leave the vehicle, so that they could ask the tyre manufacturer to check whether there is any manufacturing defect with the tyre. Everything was noted in the job card and the vehicle was left with the dealer. On 13/07/2015, the work shop engineer called me saying that all my complaints regarding the vehicle are attended and I could take the delivery of the vehicle after a test drive. Accordingly on 14/07/2015, the vehicle was test driven with your engineer Mr. Jawahar by my side .To my dismay none of the problems were solved, the tracking and the AC automatic cut off problem was still there even Skoda workshop engineer noticed this problem. But none of them have no answer to this and the vehicle was not delivered till now. In order to check the AC compressor problem they need to remove the bumper, compressor etc and send the results of the compressor reading to Pune and it will take three days. First of all I want to know from you whether I have purchased a new vehicle or a scrap assembled as a new vehicle .Is there any justification for leaving the new vehicle at dealer’s workshop for more than 7 days within 15 days of delivery to a customer. The mental agony is such that my office work is disturbed and I have sleepless nights .Either I want replacement of the new vehicle or the cash paid towards the cost of the vehicle.Looking forward for a quick response from Skoda.
