Sleepyhead — Received a faulty product and company failed to fix it

I ordered the motorized recliner for my elderly mother on 16th October 2023. I had to wait for so long to even receive the product. When I got no update from the company/delivery partner about the delivery, I called the customer support couple of times and they used to repeat the same answer. “Your location is far, so wait till November 1st.” Finally the product was delivered on 29th October 2023 towards the evening. The delivery guys unboxed it themselves (without we asking them to) in the ground floor and brought the recliner to the first floor. They just plugged in the recliner to the socket and went away. My mother stays alone, and I asked her over a phone call to press the button on the recliner which would enable the features like leg rest, back support extension etc. But none of the features worked after pressing the button. So I thought it might be due to poor installation and I immediately called the delivery guys. They said “we’re just courier guys. We don’t know anything about the product”. Since there is no manual provided with the product, I immediately( towards the late evening of 29th October 2023) called and mailed the customer support to arrange for a tech support visit to properly install the product, check for any issues and fix the issue.
It’s been two weeks now and I’ve been calling up the customer support every alternate day. NOBODY CAME TO MY PLACE. The product is lying idle. Everyone I call the customer support, they keep telling me to wait for so and so date, someone will come to my place and check the product out and fix it, but nothing happened so far.
First they delivered a sub-standard, non-working product with quality issues. Then despite multiple mails and calls to the customer support, they never arranged for any technical support and kept giving me false deadlines. They keep saying some tech support guy will call me up and visit my place, but nobody came so far. The product is lying idle. If the initial response from the company is like this, I am worried about the issues that the product might give in the future( provided the product works in the first place) and with such pathetic after sales service, I am not sure how it is going to be.
I want Sleepyhead to take back the faulty product and give me my money back.
