slice of italy — Won't honor advertised sale prices

I have ordered Slice of Italy almost every wknd for about 7 years, & haven’t had too many complaints…but I have one now.
The first things you see on the Slice of Italy website are the sliding images with the current specials, & one of them clearly says *2 medium 1 topping pizzas for $20* (For online orders only)….but once you go to the menu, the price is still $24 & doesn’t adjust to $20 for the sale when you checkout.
I called the store & explained the problem.
I asked, “If I put something in the comments about the sale when I place my order, will you honor the sale?”
They explained that it wasn’t their fault & was their 3rd party website’s issue & they would not honor the price.
I asked to speak to a manager, & once I explained to him the issue, he said I could place my order over the phone & get the correct sale price. Great!
So, I start placing my order, (now back on with the original customer service girl who said they wouldn’t honor the sale & doesn’t sound very happy)…I ordered the medium pizzas (on sale), then the rest of my usual order, & when I added some ranch dressing, she asked what size I wanted. I said “I don’t know, I usually order whatever size the $1 one is”. She then says, “Well it’s only $1 if you order online, it’s $2.19 if you place your order over the phone”.
Which means I got the “online” sale price over the phone since I COULDN’T order it online like I usually do, but then she was gonna charge me more for everything else since it was a phone order!!
I reminded her that this IS supposed to be considered an online order, & she talks to the manager again & says “Ok well, we’re only gonna do it this one time”….like “I’m” the one trying to get over in them!!
I said, “Well, hopefully when I go to order again next wknd, by then you’ll have cleared up this issue with your 3rd party website (Zuppler), or you’ll have stopped advertising this sale on your website.
So, just now I go to place an order online, (2 wknds later) & nope, nothing has changed at all.
I’m really disappointed. I have ordered from them (F St store) twice a month, every month, at the very least…but I just can’t bring myself to order from them anymore. It’s just the principal of the matter, & how they chose to deal with it.
