[Resolved]  Sony India — faulty home theatre under warranty not replaced/repaired by service centre

We had purchased sony home theater model - ht-iv300/m bearing serial no. 3380387 on 28th october 2018 from croma, malad. After a few days of normal performance, the amplifier developed some issue, which influenced the bass to a considerable level. We then placed a complaint with sony consumer care on the 17th of december, 2018, after which their engineer came and insisted on replacing the woofer. They sent a new woofer, but the problem persisted, as the fault was in the amplifier. The engineer thus took the amplifier with him telling us that they will get back to us after checking it. After a few days, they called back saying the amplifier is fine and we may collect the new woofer with the existing amplifier. On repeated complaints that we need the amplifier replaced, as the fault is in amplifier not in the woofer, sony still insisted on replacing only the woofer, not paying heed to our request of comparing the amplifier with a new one to make sure.
