Greetings, i have had my worst experience with sony customer care. I bought ps4 just to play fifa around 14 months ago. From the last two months, i started getting error code ce-34878-0. I tried reinstalling my game and cleaned the dust with the brush which fixed the issue for sometime. I was able to play again without issues for a day two and error occurred again. I did reinstall my game, update system software, rebuild database, initialise ps4 even tried different internet service provider but nothing seems to have worked. Probably, there is some issue with the hard drive which can be fixed by replacing it or reinstall system software. The service centre says we can not open the console in india and system software cannot be reinstalled untill new system software update is released by sony. I asked them for what is the cause of the error to which they only answer software problem which is not the answer. As per my understanding, if the issue is with the system software then i would not have been able to download the latest system software update (Version 5.55) which is not true. I was successfully able to download it fine. If the issue is with the application then the application reinstallation should fix the issue. What i figured out is there is some dust blocking the fan which is very common problem with electronic devices and can easily be fixed by cleaning but sony says they can't open the console. If the console cannot be opened then why there are screws on the ps4 (Obviously to open if required). The customer service agents are rude, slow, illogical. I requested for refund and they said they have a different solution for me. I thanked god to finally get a solution but to my surprise what they offered was even worst. They ask me buy a new ps4 and they say i need to pay only rs 15495 for the replacement. Really??? That's the solution??? 50% of the total price of the console. I could have even though about paying around 30% to fix the issue but 15k is too much for the issue which is not even being explained by sony. There is no physical damage to the console. They mentioned we are india many times every time spoke with sony representatives and that we cannot fix it here in india as there is no repair policy. What about the other third party repair shops. How are they able to fix these issues? There are many but i wanted to get this handled by sony and not third party. Are these third party workers who are not even graduates more efficient technically than the technical team of such a brand (Sony). Also, what is the guarantee that this will not happen again with the new ps4 if i pay as i am not explained what caused the issue and how it can be prevented. A gamer usually buy console instead pc so that he would not have to worry about it for at least 5 -7 years and here i will keep buying ps4 every year with discount (If the error occurs after 12 months)
I really need a solution and i have escalated case through service centre branch manager and customer service but to to no vain. I am unable to play fifa for last 2 weeks now where i could not live even a single day without it (Only gamer will understand or sony should not deal with gamers) Was this information helpful? |
