I have bought SONY LED KDL 40EX 650 on 13.01.2013.While purchasing it was informed that the warranty is for 5 years.
In Oct'17 TV got problem and intimated to service Engineer. It was identified that there is some panel issue and informed us to hand it over to Sony Authorised Service Centre, Hosur. The problem was not resolved but they have charged Rs. 250 as service charge.And again I tried to get it repaired by giving the TV for service on 20.03.2018 to the authorised service dealer. They have informed that the circuit board for this model is obsolete and is not available now. He has offered to get the TV back for 20% of the total invoice value(11, 000 Rs) and also pressurised us to get the same model by paying the differential amount. But I am not interested in selling the same .Hence request you to replace the panel or replace the TV as it is the responsibility of SONY to meet the customer requirements.We are the beloved SONY customer and based on the brand image and trust we have spent Rs.50 K and since the manufacturing of the Panel is stopped by SONY itself it is the company's responsibility to satisfy the customer or refund the entire value of Television of Rs.56000. Pls take it serious and resolve the issue as the Television is still in Service Centre since Mar'18 and we don't know the status of the TV, and not even single phone call from the service centre. I am afraid whether my TV is in their possession or not and also in what condition it is.
If the problem is not resolved we are forced to take this matter to consumer court. Once again request you not to take this matter to that level.
