Hello, I submitted my phone on 22nd of September 2015 and was given a Job No. : W[protected]. My phone is Sony Xperia Z a water resistant phone. Due to my handset being water resistant I had to give the phone to an authorized Sony service centre for a very simple problem of replacing battery. I was told by the agent who took the handover of my phone that it will take 7 days for us to check the entire handset for any additional problem. She also informed that I will get an estimate at the end of 7 days and I will have to pay that amount upright and post that the work will start. I mean that is insane why should I pay before the handset is serviced. As mentioned earlier I got a call from the PC support centre situated on Bund Garden Rd. Ashoka Mall on the 08th Day and they gave me an estimation of Rs. 1888/- on top of the 300/- charges which they took for sending my handset by courier to chennai. I arrived at the center and found out that they had not taken one more request of changing a flap which protects from water getting inside. They said that pay 300/- more and if any left over amount they will refund me. This happened on 30th of September 2015. I asked for the TAT to which I was informed that I will get a message from Sony in next 7 days and then I can come to collect the handset. That is the day and today is the day who ever I call in Sony says that they are not able to find the parts. How is that possible when I am able to buy the same battery from eBay at a much lower cost that quoted by Sony. I am a pure Sony fan and have used Sony products in electronics right from my TV, Phone, Music System etc. I know that the after sales is slow of Sony but now it is almost one month and they don't have parts. My question is why was I charged for the parts which is not even available. If I am charged I should get my service. I work in an IT company and smart phone makes my life a lot easy. Now I am smart phone less from last one month. No one is listening neither they are giving me the head office no. I even tried the customer care of Sony the executive there are arrogant and dint even take my complaint. I have been tossed like a football and I need a definite answer.
