We (Maxtech) are Computer and projector Seller in Erode, Asper telephonic conversation we are forwarding this letter for you can take as a notice for your faster and proper action.
On 4th May, 2013 we have purchased a projector from Supremeindia (P) Ltd., Its model no. is DX100 and bill no.psl13007155. I sold above said projector to one of my customer in Coimbatore. After selling it was working fine. But after 100hrs usage of lamp that found some problem.
They made a verbal complaint about the issue with us. We noticed to my seller. We suggest to them contact service center. They contact service center M/s.K.J.Electricals (Job Sheet No:J[protected], Coimbatore. One of engineers did the inspection. He advised them to change the lamp as there was some technical problem with the lighting system which could not be fixed permanently. The lamp warranty period is only for Three months from the date of purchase and the estimated amount Rs.17118-/ (Service amount 14950+ Tax 2168). We attached your estimated copy with this letter for reference.
The customer is not ready to spend this amount under warranty. They asked us claim the warranty, we replied that "The Sony service center is GENUINE for customer so you do as per their advice". But he is not satisfied with our words and he takes back his projector from Sony service center and he tried to attend problem to other local service center.
The local service centre rectified problem at the cost of Rs.5000- (spare (not lamp) 3500+service charges 1500). The customer asked us “WHY SONY TRIED TO CHEAT US”? Further they asked us return back service charges.
We ask the same question to you and your service team. Why PUNISHING YOUR TRUSTED CUSTOMER with wrong estimation and huge amount. Now I request you to re-look into the matter considering the BRAND VALUE OF SONY.
