[Resolved]  Spectranet — No refund after disconnection due to bad service

We used to use broadband services of spectra net in pimple saudagar, pune. The monthly billing cycle is such that you have to pay the bill for your chosen plan in the beginning of the month before you can avail the services. In the month of august we paid our charges as usual on time . On Aug16, 2014 we faced some issue with the Internet connection & did raised a complain for the same at spectra net customer call. As they had a 48 hour window of resolution we again raised a complain after passing the 48Hr mark. On 19 th or 20th of august an Engg from spectra net did came & checked the WiFi router & found it faulty. As there was shortage of WiFi routers at that moment in that location instead of replacing the router he took the faulty router with out installing a new one at our location. We again tried to communicate our issue to the customer care & the reply was pretty absurd . They said the spectra net has stopped providing WiFi routers to all users & from now onwards only lan routers will be provided. We did tried to convey them that we are not new users so the change in policy should not apply on us. As it weren't looking for lan connected router service so we decided to end the service of spectra net before the next billing cycle starts. I dropped a mail to the customer care for ending the services & refund of our previous month paid amount for services as the net Internet consumption for the month of August was zero due to faulty router & bad service. After couple of days of dropping the mail for request to close the account i got a call from spectra net Delhi customer care which tried to investigate the reason for our request to close the account. After listening to our problem she agreed & promised on call that with in two to three working day we will be getting a wifi router & so no need to disconnect the service . We agreed on that & waited to get the new router(WIFI). After 4 to 5 days when we didn't receive any communication we again dropped a mail to spectra net customer care regarding discontinuing of service & refund of the amount paid for august . As it was already September 10th & we cant afford not to have Internet service as some o[censored]s do work from home. Now they are denying us even the refund for the amount we paid for the month of august citing there is no provision for refund in policy. I have recorded some of my last calls with spectra net just for evidence. Please advice me on what to do in this situation as i have paid Rs 1345 without even using the services of spectra net for a whole month due to their own faulty service & policy confusion regarding lan routers.
