State Bank Of India [SBI] — Bank says no request for card cancellation received | |||
Hi, I had taken a sbi credit card sometime in Aug 2015. First the credit card people harassed me to take an insurance with Royal Sundaram (which they had never mentioned before is a necessary condition) for Rs. 500/-. I never used this card as I was uncomfortable with this kind of customer pressurization. I called them and asked them to cancel my card and also cancel this Rs 500 charge as I have never used this card. Now SBI is threatening me with legal action and CIBIL degradation if I do not pay them 3500 rupees which now includes an Annual Fee of Rs 2600 on a card I have never used in my life. They have also claimed that I have never had any interaction with SBI since September 2015 regarding any credit car. If this kind of harassement and cheating is happening for a national bank card, where does it leave us common people. I have 2 other credit cards from HDFC and CITI bank with no delayed payments and a surplus of 500-1000 rupees in surplus. This threatening attitude is extremely disturbing for working women like me who have to take care of home, hearth and urban working life. Request your guidance on this. I am ready to take this to court - no more men or women should be harassed like this by scrupulous staff of national banks. Was this information helpful? | |||
