Taj Hotels — hotel taj view agra

My family booked 2 rooms at tajview-ihcl seleqtions in may 2019, and our date of stay was september 2019. The reservation confirmation email from the hotel had a seemingly innocuous comment: "we will be upgrading our rooms from 1st may till 31st oct 2019 (9.00 a. M. To 6.00 p. M.). We assure you that we have taken all necessary measures to minimize any inconvenience to our guests."
With this reassurance from a company as reputed as ihcl, we went ahead with our accommodation. Little did we know that the noise from renovation work would completely spoil our stay. The noise was very loud and very irritating. Despite repeated calls to the front desk, meeting the front desk team in person, and submitting a written complaint, nothing changed much except for a few sporadic moments of silence. The hotel completely failed to live up to its commitment of:
1. Taking all necessary measures to minimize inconvenience
2. 6pm deadline for the renovation work (The work and the horrible noise went on till dinner time)
While checking out, we asked the front desk to compensate us, but they were junior staff and what they could offer was not to our expectation. When we raised the issue later with the gm of the hotel (Mr samir bharadwaj), we received replies that completely misrepresented the facts. Essentially, no effort from him to live up to the written commitment of the hotel, and the customer delight philosophy of ihcl.
We are extremely disappointed. Definitely the worst experience we have ever had in any hotel.
