Tata Docomo — SIM Activation not done after a month | |||
I bought a SIM card through home delivery option on 20-Oct-2014 (Invoice Number: EC[protected]). The documentation they sent me on email had mentioned that if I submit Local Address Proof, there is no need for local verification ("Customers not providing a valid Local Proof of Address have to mention a local contact person’s active phone number for verification.") yet they asked for a local reference and I gave my friend's contact number. When they called her the guy started asking her personal questions and wanted to know where she lived to whih she declined to answer. I told her not to disclose personal details anymore. Then I started getting dozens of calls from Docomo service guys who didn't care to learn the history of the ticket, reading the same script on the phone. I was so annoyed after all these calls, I told them that I do not need their service and asked them for a refund. To which they responded that they will neither give me a refund nor give me a connection taking the local address proof document (against what is mentioned in terms and conditions). One of the guys also mentioned that the Docomo guy who collected the document may have misplaced it. I have waited this long expecting a refund but nothing has happened yet.
