Tata Motors — Delivery issues with Tata Nexon

I had booked Tata Nexon XZA+(S) on 2nd Jan 22, however, there is no visibility of delivery yet. Now the dealer is saying that Tata has discontinued this model and I will have to go for its replacement model which is XZA+(HS) with a higher price. Why shall I pay the higher price? Why did they take the booking if the above model was going to be discontinued?
