Tata Motors — Engine get jammed only at 1,20,000 km

My vehicle engine get jammed only after running of 1, 20, 000 km . Workshop person has given a estimate of rs. 1, 39, 000/-. Si its ridiculous that tata vehicles engines are giving poor performance and get stuck at only 1, 20, 000km and now is it viable to spend rs. 1, 39, 000/- for a ride of only 1, 20, 000km. It means that tata motors engines are not rugged and robust as conveyed by their reps at the time of sale.
