We purchased Tata Nexon XZ (P) in the month of 2022 January.
On 10th April, while traveling from Bhopal to Bangalore, our car broke down near Ananthpuram, Andhra Pradesh. We heard some noise from the engine area, hence we stopped. The nearest Tata Service workshop was closed due to Sunday, we got the car towed to service station in Ananthpuram. Next day, their Engineer inspected the car and found that the engine bed is broken and there is a leak in drive shaft.
They had a spare engine bed which got replaced however they are saying that drive shaft replacement will take 7-10 days as it is not available with them. They can fix it temporarily same day but we will lose the warranty.
Now, we are stuck in a situation whether to get it permanently fixed (waiting period of 7-10 days) or temporarily fixed (loose warranty)
We are very upset with the performance of Tata Nexon, as we purchased it just 3 months back and never expected such issue from one of the best car in India.
Luckily the issue happened near a moderate city with available mobile networks and a nearby service station.
Being already annoyed due to this issue, we expect a reimbursement because the journey cost us twice more than our actual journey expense, along with a mental stress.
1. After 7-10 days of entire car repair, can it be dropped to our address in Bangalore? (215 kms)
2. We took private cab to Bangalore at our own expense, as we had so much house hold stuff and couldn't travel via public transport, can this be reimbursed.
Being one of the biggest manufacturer and service provider in India, we expect them to look for an improvement in handling such scenario eg. Providing drop facilities if car needs to be submitted for repair.
We highly appreciate immediate attention in this matter.
