I had given my car Tata Nano to KHT motors service centre in Mahadevpura for servicing on 23 March 2022.
1. I had given complaint about shock absorbers not working and I was informed duly by Venkatesh to get them replaced and he also gave me approximate amount which will be charged to me for replacement
2. Mr Venkatesh also offered me to take AMC worth Rs 8313/- which I duly paid and took up
3. My car bumper was damaged due to accident and I had asked for insurance claim
4. I was informed by one Mr Shashi on call that insurance company has approved the insurance claim of bumper and they will go ahead and replaced it
5. But when I went to pick up the vehicle then at the time of billing I was surprised to see that an extra amount of Rs 6900/- was reflecting on my bill.
6. When I asked about it then Mr. Venkatesh revealed that the extra amount of Rs6900/- was for bumper. When I started confronting him for springing this surprise on me he immediately redirected me to Shashi and told me to talk to him
7. Not once I was called up and informed by anyone from service center about this payment for car bumper. Also I was informed at the time of billing that insurance company will pay only 50% of the amount. Which means around 3500/- for bumper was on me. Besides they said the entire amount I have to pay up while collecting car and the 50% will be refunded by insurance company to my bank account later (no information on meaning of later was given)
8. My ask is that is this the way to communicate to customer the billing amount in very last minute?
9. Just like how Venkatesh told me about the expenditure of shock absorber same way why didn’t he inform me about this bumper?
10. They also removed my reverse sensor which were fixed on my old bumper without informing me anything at all
11. They should have called me up and told in very clear manner that the insurance company is refusing for full payment they are paying only 50% and that too will be given by company later and presently I will have to pay the entire amount which is Rs6900/- why didn’t they say like this ? the car was with them for 18 days they could have easily informed me but they chose to work in this non transparent manner and spring up surprise at time of billing
12. I was at the service station at 3:30 pm today and they made me wait for 2 long hours for billing and at 5:45pm they generated my bill after many repeated requests and this is the end result
13. Finally I was so frustrated and felt cheated and angry that I left your service station without car.
