A long list of Problems faced & reported to TATA Motors for their TATA Zest.
The car has poor quality parts, with absolutely no quality check on part quality. When I cross verified with a friend working at a senior position in TATA all he told me was "You should have asked me before buying a TATA Car.".
He went on quoting " TATA motors is now like a government organization filled with corrupt people who are ignoring quality standards for personal interests.

That was all I wanted to hear to know that I have been duped by fake promises by TATA Motors.

Manufacturing defects-
1. Engine missing at 60-70KMPH / 18000RPM; definite missing was noticed but no action taken during the service
2. Car breaks making creaking noise, have been highlighting this for the past 3 services i.e. Day 1 when we bought the car; We were charged for break cleaning & were assured that it would be resolved. Alas but the ABS seems to be malfunctioning as it gives a distinct jerk/jamming when on the break pedal when breaks are applied at turning on high speed.
3. Engine jerk Felt on Gear lever - This problem was highlighted too at the first car service; At first the service manager negated and said it could not be corrected & this is the way it is; but when compared to other Zest cars they agreed & confirmed there was a problem but no sollution.
4. Wiper water jet irregularity - The same was highlighted as a problem during the last service, but wiper blockage still persits.
5. Music system Bluetooth Malfunction - Perhaps the oldest of the lot, Harman Service personnel confirmed that they would revert with a solution but it has
been more than 3 months since Ive last heard of them.

This has been an image shattering Service experience with Tata.
Mr. Manish from Concorde motor calls the next day of my trailing mail, asking “What is the problem Sir?”.
To which I simply replied I had shared an email full of problems, have you read that.

He just hanged the phone saying Sir let me check with Mr. Nayyar and get back.

Since that day Ive been endlessly waiting for someone to attend to my problem.

This is not a Service center lead problem any more.
Its Tata Motors who is responsible ultimately for the issue, I fail to understand why isn’t anyone from Tata Motors listening.

I shall ensure that this is not the last of my mail & henceforth take it up in appropriate forums where consumers get to know the sluggish service & poor quality of your cars.

Its been long pending since Ive heard back from anyone from Tata Motors regarding the problems I had raised & reported to Service personnel at Concorde service & your call center executive.

What surprises me of all is the level of ignorance that TATA Motors has towards their service standards. Continuous follow-up & problem reporting has lead to frequent visits to your service center.

I had run in for an early service at roughly 28, 000KM as I reported the following issues (some pending even before the first service)-
1. Engine missing at 60-70KMPH / 18000RPM; definite missing was noticed but no action taken during the service
2. I hope someone reading this realizes the negligence shown during the course of time by your Service team.
Your client greeting standards are great but what lacks is the basic i.e. Service Quality Standards.

Thank you for writing back. I wish we could have avoided this mail & situation but alas the situation has gone out of hand.
My Car was again called in at Concorde motor service center on Monday 17th Aug claiming Harman service team has found a solution to the problem.
The team confirmed that the problem has been solved, On this Tuesday i.e. 18th August while driving for a meeting the Bluetooth abruptly went into the same stage as reported earlier.
This is a big diversion and has lead into a small time accident that lead to some scratches on the front left side of my bumper. But this time it just got worse as a person on a scooter just jammed in front of me at the same instance when the Bluetooth problem happened.
With grace of god nothing much happened as the scootrist survived with some bruises while the car’s front Day light running light got smashed & stopped functioning.

I hope you understand the gravity of situation & consumer feedbacks.

Im highlighting multiple issues which we have been highlighting over the past 3 months –

Harman ConntectNXT-
• Bluetooth problem highlighted still persists
• What has been done till now –
o 5 times the system has been claimed to be Ok but we face the same grasping issue + 1 time system replacement has been done
o My Car was again called in at Concorde motor service center on Monday 17th Aug claiming Harman service team has found a solution to the problem
• In all the testing front right door speaker has malfunctioned and gives a distinct vibration noise

Below car issues stand unresolved as Concorde service team has obliged & again got my car picked today. Im not hoping anything to happen again other than my fuel being burnt by running AC in standing car like it happens every time.

1. When the AC is on, there is whistle sound in the background and it dies as soon as the AC is switched off
2. The gear handle gets a jerk from engine
3. Front Suspension reacts weirdly with a loud sound on the left side in potholes + ABS breaks see a sudden jerk back in case of emergency breaks

Hi,

I purchased a Tata Zest- XT this year in March(details below) and the decision was not easy. I had driven a Tata Indica for 10 years and had touched approx. 3 lac km(I still have the car). The decision hence was nerve wracking remembering the innumerous trips made to my mechanic .
The faith in the organisation made me take the leap again. The test drive no doubt was better than any other diesel car in this segment but after 4 months and approx. 15k km, true colors came flying out in the open.
I had my second service done and had listed down the issues lingering from the first service but alas nothing changed. I am listing down the perpetual problems that need immediate attention and solution.

1. Issues with the music system, Bluetooth does not work, got the system replaced but the problem still persists (mail attached)
2. The speaker on the front right side is lose and a slight increase in the volume makes the speaker vibrate a lot
3. When the AC is on, there is whistle sound in the background and it dies as soon as the AC is switched off
4. The lights flicker a lot which means there is a lose connection somewhere
5. The front right tyre burst within first 2000KM, when reported the issue still hands as neither TATA nor Bridgestone is taking responsibility
6. The gear handle gets a jerk from engine

All the above have been reported during our multiple visits to the service center, but alas they have just blatantly refused to these problems.

The product has potential which equates directly with the number of Zest’s in see on the roads today. I hope you will resolve this at the earliest and help me restore my faith in the product as well as the brand.
