TAXI — Taxi
When I get down at any station in Western Lines of Mumbai, it is very difficult to get the Taxi or Auto. They simply say no to anywhere and if we just sit without asking , they refuse to go specially at nearest locations. Because of this all Mumbai citizens travelling by locals face problems . Can Indian Govt do some thing to improve this situation. Can these people be made to work effectively or else can we have more convenient options for public transport.Taxis — Faulty Meter
We took a taxi from Chowpatty for Khat Subway through Bandra worli sea link by a taxi having number MH01 JA 4067. On reachin khar subway we found that the meter of the taxi was 278. The distance meter was showing 19.8 Km in the taxi driver but the meter was showing exhorbitant rates.After a quarrel with the taxi driver, we paid him Rs 240. We would request to take strict action against the taxi driver.

went to Highland park from picnic garden meter reading was 49. number was WB-04 A 0269. at the time of return meter reading was 32. and there was no traffic at all for both up and down.TAXI — faulty taxi metre reading
Dear Sir,i was travelling from Uttarpara to Dalhousie to my office on 26.08.2011 on a taxi(WB 04- D 2527). i took the taxi at aroun 9 am to only reach dalhousie at 10.40am. & to my horror the taxi reading was Rs.127.00 for which I was to pay Rs.256.00. i usually take a taxi to dalhousie on a regular basis & I usually pay Around Rs. 180 to Rs. 195.00. when i complained about the faulty metre to the driver, he just ignored & told me do whatever you can. Such taxis with faulty mtere's license should be immediately cancelled especially the taxi I travelled in- WB 04-D-2527.
