[Resolved]  TNSTC — Regarding E-Ticket print out

Address:Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Dear sir, I booked ticket from Chennai to Coimbatore on 15.12.13 at 1730CHEPGT tripcode & Route no is H787 and the is from Chennai to Thrissur bus. And I had my mobile I showed my E-Ticket which had sent to my E-mail Id by TNSTC. But the conductor refused to accept the E-Ticket and he asked me to bring the ticket by taking print out. The departure time is 5.30 PM and I reached bus stand at 5 PM. I went along with my wife also. So I explained him that there is no browsing center nearby this bus stand and also it will take time. But he told I cant do anything, if the bus left its your problem. My superior instructed me that without printout ticket should not be accepted. I argued him that its not necessary and the we can show the E-Ticket with ID card. IRCTC also accepting this and your instruction given on the E Ticket also not mentioning the Print out. But he again asked me to go get approval form TNSTC office in Koimbedu bus stand. But there was no time because when he asked this to do, it was 5.20 PM. Then driver came to me and told that go and get in sir. It will ot be a problem but your mobile should not get switched off till you reach Coimbatore. Then I got my seat and reached Coimbatore. Now the important thing is " Is it necessary to bring the print out for E-Ticket?" Because I booked my ticket thro my mobile. So I didn't go to browsing center. You can implement like private bus services doing. They will give a boarding pass when you show the E-Ticket from you mobile. Because now a days all are going online staring form IRCTC, cinema ticket, Air ticket etc., But still why your TNSTC asking print out. Also the conductor was very rude. He did not allow a passenger to sit in Seat no.5 & 6. But the seat was empty. He asked the passenger to sit at last row. Because only last row was available. He asked the conductor but the conductor not answered and told him that seat is not available and you go out from the bus. After some while we all came to know that he was planned to sleep on that seat. So that he didn't allow anybody to take that seat. There is a seat provided for conductor but he want to sleep on passenger seat. Its not a wrong if seats are empty. But the bus was full and the passenger wanted to go from Chennai to Coimbatore. The conductor was very young and may nearly 25 to 28 yrs. Please let us know why your Conductors are doing like this and behaved very rudely???? Waiting for your Action and Reply... With regards, Manikandan

Same situation for me too.. They have not mentioned any such thing in the ticket saying print out and mentioned as show ticket, etc..
So it would be better to change this rule of bringing printout..

so in case i[censored] end up in such situations, to argue your best in a polite way or carry your god daam ticket..

With regards Arthy

It is very worst case in our Tamilnadu goverment Transportation. They are not following the easiest and Convenient procedure which helps to Passengers.. Toll free # is not at all working.. What is the use of that..

We cannot contact the concern Manager easily to give a complaint. They are not interesting to hear Customers voice and comments. May be the next generation of employees may feel this inconveniences and try to change the procedure.. :(
