I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against TVS Motors regarding the faulty TVS Jupyter 125 BS6 top model scooter that I purchased from the TVS Almora showroom on June 4, 2023. I am deeply disappointed with the product I have received and the subsequent lack of satisfactory resolution despite my repeated attempts to address the issue.
Details of the purchase are as follows:
From the very day of delivery, I have been experiencing a persistent issue with the scooter. The scooter consistently displays a blink code error, causing the engine to shut down abruptly after just a few minutes or seconds of operation. This issue poses a severe safety risk and renders the vehicle unreliable for daily commuting.
I immediately contacted the TVS Almora showroom and reported the issue, following which I also filed a formal complaint with TVS Motors' customer care through email. Additionally, I shared a video of the error as evidence with the TVS representative, Mr. Harshit Tiwari (Harshit.[protected]@tvsmotor.com), via WhatsApp, and the TVS workshop personnel, Mr. Rajesh, at the Almora(Uttarakhand) branch.
In an attempt to resolve the issue, the TVS workshop team conducted several test rides, covering several kilometers on the vehicle. However, despite their efforts, they have not been able to rectify the problem. I have made multiple visits to the TVS Motors workshop in Almora(Uttarakhand), hoping for a resolution, but to no avail.
I was given assurance by Mr. Avitosh Singh Chauhan (avitoshsingh.[protected]@tvsmotor.com) that the issue would be resolved promptly. However, it has been nearly four months since that assurance was given, and there has been no substantial progress on addressing the issue. This prolonged delay has caused me significant inconvenience, financial loss, and mental distress.
Considering the above circumstances, I am left with no choice but to seek the intervention of the consumer forum to ensure a fair resolution to this matter. I kindly request the following actions to be taken:
Refund of the full purchase price of the TVS Jupyter 125 BS6 scooter along with any associated expenses.
Alternatively, a replacement of the faulty scooter with a new unit that is free from defects.
Compensation for the mental anguish, inconvenience, and financial losses I have incurred due to the persistent and unresolved issue.
I have attached copies of all relevant documents, including the purchase invoice, email correspondence, and videos demonstrating the error code issue.
I sincerely hope that the consumer forum will take this matter seriously and ensure that I receive a fair resolution. I look forward to your prompt action in this regard.
