[Resolved] TVS Motor Company — Engine down on 2nd day of purchase | |||
Hello, I bought a TVS Apache rtr 160 on 22nd may 2014. Within a week the camshaft in the engine head failed and I had to drag the bike 2 KM and had it looked after. The service station ( Minotra Auto, Chandannagar, Pune) added to my sorrows by saying that they will need to order the part and its not in stock. I waited and waited and at last I got it replaced in a week. Imagine a new bike engine going down - it feels really aweful. All went good for 2 weeks and on the first service, the service guy played aroud with the fuel nut and idleing - again an issue with the bike giving a lot of jerks. I took the bike to another service station and they found the issue with oil filters ... then the bike worked for 2 days ... And then I noticed a noise with eventually increased after a few KM. And when I reached home ... the cam shaft failed again. I dont know what kind of qulity testing TVS does ... But today i regreat buying RTR my dream bike even after so much opposition from my pals ... Please help ... I need the engine replaced ... Was this information helpful? | |||
