Uber India — Driver not returning my belonging uber is not taking care ill behaviour from driver

On 9th Nov 2015, I travelled from Microsoft Gachibowli to GVK One mall. I was hurt and my wrist was injured due to an accident on 5th Nov 2015 so, was my right side of rib-cage. My hand movements were very restricted due to this reason I kept the lunchbox (worth Rs800 - brand Signoware) on car dashboard with one hand so, that I can pay the driver from wallet. At the mall security guards were hurrying so that other cars are not blocked in this rush as I came out of the car I left my lunchbox in there. After calling the driver (Ramesh) numerous times, he finally informed a day after that he will come and give the lunchbox at Uber office or to my office when he comes by. In 10 days he never came near 3 kms radius of those areas I already texted him on his mobile number ([protected]). He started misbehaving on phone asking me money to return me the lunchbox. I complained the same to Uber office and though they mentioned will take proper action and resolve this issue but 5 days passed with no result.

I am looking forward for a proper resolution to this mental harassment to a customer from corporate and the driver.

UBER support team is now saying they contacted driver and driver said he don't have lunchbox its with owner as he left driving UBER. UBER team is not doing proper background check of drivers and is now telling me to contact police if I want to get further help. The driver on other occasions told he is Santosh and he don't know who is Ramesh. UBER team member Farahn told she will compensate the amount of Rs500 and Bharath later said he is not awqare about who said compensation as UBER don't have compensation policy Due to this miss match of information shared and false promises I am now in confusion what to do. Please help me get my lunchbox or its worth.
