I had pre-booked UBER on 4th June’19 evening for my travel on 5th morning to international airport. The booking was for 5th June between 8.35 am to 8.45 am.
I received a message on my mobile([protected]) with driver’s number & name around 8.15 am. I had 2 senior citizens travelling with me (We can produce the flight tickets / boarding passes). I tried calling and seeing the location of the driver. It was not reachable. When I finally got through, the driver was surprised as he was already travelling with a passenger and he had no clue that his name and number had come to me as my ride for airport & he said he was in Bandra (My cab was booked from Goregaon East). We were tensed and started booking from my husband’s mobile (Mr.Sumit Kumar Basu, [protected]) for a cab as we were getting delayed for the flight. When I booked from my husband’s mobile, this cab driver said, he is in Kandivli with some passenger, he will take atleast 20-25 mins to come.
To our utter dismay, the cab which was booked from my mobile ([protected]) showed “End Trip” and “where u would want go”. I quickly booked and the driver was nearby and arrived in 3 mins.
In this situation, we cancelled the booking from [protected] number as the driver was very far from destination and we had to take a flight.
My question, why UBER is taking the booking when driver is yet to complete his ride?? This causes enormous harassment to the passenger going to airport, hospital, clinic, office, school. Do u have absolutely no value for time and money???
This cancellation / not arriving has caused enormous mental harassment, agony and stress for all three o[censored]s travelling on that day. I would want an apology and demand compensation & waive off the charges levied on my husband’s ([protected]) account at the earliest.
I need a quick action, else I would be forced to go to consumer forum demanding justice. Was this information helpful? |
