I booked Uber from Kochi fort to go to Kochi International airport. The driver picked us up from Kochi fort and after some time told us that he won't go upto the airport and will drop us midway and from there we can take another local cab, which he can arrange as his friend drives a local cab. The reason for this he mentioned was that he will not get any passenger while coming from Cochin airport. We asked him why did he pick us up in first place.
He dropped us after 4-5 Kms and dint arrange any cab. When we called the call center from the cab that person also mentioned that he can't help and we have to get a local cab for airport.
Being tourists and not knowing the local language, we were not able to figure out how to go to airport. By the time we could figure out and arrange another cab, it was too late and we missed our flight to Mumbai. This unprofessional behavior caused us alot of trouble and money. We had to buy expensive air tickets for next day and had to find a hotel to stay at night. We wasted one day and had to spent around 10, 000 extra for arrangements, which I expect Uber to reimburse (though I doubt it) as it all happened due to their unprofessional driver. I also expect an apology from Uber and strict action against the driver.
