Upgrad — Upgrad abroad

I was just browsing through a few cheaper options to study abroad as I was facing some financial crunch. I decided to look into Germany. That's where I stumbled upon Upgrad. They mentioned they had tie-ups with the IU Berlin university. They were basically offering a hybrid program to cut down the costs of education abroad. So, they contacted me the next day and we set up a meeting and discussed about the program. After that I started getting continuous calls to enroll in the program for MBA from IU Berlin and asked me to attend an interview from the faculty member of IU Berlin. So, I sat the interview and basically found out that the interviewer was not from IU Berlin perhaps he was from Upgrad. I actually wanted to enroll with the October 2023 intake. They said it's full and asked me to join the hybrid program. After the interview they said I got Rs25000 scholarship and to avail that scholarship they asked me to pay the initial block amount within 24 hours. So, I took loans from my friends and somehow arranged the block amount fees. Before paying the block amount fees they said few things such as:-
- I would be taught german right after I start the program, so my study abroad education would be smooth.
- There is no October 2024 intake as it is full
- I would be interviewed by the IU Berlin faculty
So, after the interview my upgrad counselor contacted me and said I have got 25000 rs of scholarship and to avail it. I need to pay 25000 to block the amount. After arranging the cash. The counselor was too much forcing me to pay it and even asked me to screen share the whole process. She did not let me even to look at the terms & conditions of the payments & program. I did all that and ended up paying the block amount of Rs 25000. Later on the call I just wanted to clarify a few things and asked her if the german classes would be available to learn from Upgrad portal. She said I would be taught german from the university once I attend offline classes. I immediately started being skeptical about them and she also said that I would have to pay the rest 2.5 lakhs by next week. I started researching more about the IU Berlin and Upgrad as they did not even gave me enough time to look into it. After reading the reviews and my own personal experience I decided to drop from the program. When I told my counselor regarding that she stopped responding me and was responding me very late and said the refund process would take 30 days. I feel cheated here as they forced me to pay block amount and didn't even give me enough time to research about the university/upgrad and on top of it the refund process would take Rs 20, 000 and I would be getting Rs5000 only. So, please help me on this I feel scammed and betrayed by Upgrad.
