VFS Mumbai — No refund even after 2 months

I have been trying to claim a refund for over 2 months now, and I am running out of patience. Despite repeated reminders, my money has not been refunded, and I feel cheated by VFS, India. Below, I try to summarize my situation and a timeline of my communication with VFS: Context: I wanted to travel to the UK on 19th July. However, given my travel plans prior to my travel to the UK, I opted for a passport back service. However, when my wife went to apply for her own visa, she was told that the passport back service may take a week even after I submit my passport. This information was not available on the website, and considering my travel plans, I was advised to apply for a priority. Although, we tried to change this almost 2 weeks before my appointment, the webpage kept giving an error, and I was forced to book a priority in addition to the passport back service. I also opted to change my center (from Bandra to Nariman point), and booked a new appointment date subsequently. However, owing to the appointment website and the additional visa services not being linked, the choice of center was not updated in the priority service receipt. Neither was I prompted to verify or change the center name. The person at the VFS counter at your nariman point center did not accept the existing priority service receipt as it was valid for the original choice of center (bandra). I was given the option of paying in cash and promised that the the duplicate payment (12000 INR) will be refunded to me, along with the money paid for the passport back service (4000 INR), which I was unable to cancel. Timeline: The first email was sent by us on 15th July 2015, with subsequent followup emails on 16th July, 24th August, 9th September, and 18th September. To conclude, we would appreciate some sort of definitive action on this, and it has been more than 2 months.
