I purchased a ViewSonic monitor from Flipkart.com on May 16, 2023, and received delivery on May 16, 2023. I was promised five years of warranty upon registration.
So to claim the 5-year warranty, I registered my monitor on their website and received an email informing me that my product had been successfully registered.
There wasn't any confirmation that my warranty was upgraded to 5 years, so I emailed their customer support.
I was then asked for my unit serial number, which I gave. Then I received an email from support saying my warranty is expiring on 7/21/2025, which is definitely not 5 years from the purchase date.
I then responded, "I was supposed to get a 5-year warranty. Why is it expiring in 7/21/2025?".
After a day, I received an email from support asking for the product invoice, which I gave.
The support then replied with a weird email saying, "Please share the mail which he got after registration on Portal." So then I gave them a screenshot of the email I received after registering on the portal (the portal that generated the confirmation of my product being registered).
This was my last interaction with customer support, as I have received no further emails, even after replying that I would report this to consumer forums if I didn't receive any support soon, which I didn't.
I order a full refund of my grand total of 11499.00 if my warranty isn't upgraded, as this was promised by ViewSonic.
