Subject: Request for Refund and Resolution Regarding Unethical Sales Practice

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an unsettling experience I recently had at Vijay Sales Bhiwandi, and to request your immediate assistance in rectifying the matter.
On 24/12/2023, I visited your store and made a purchase of a refrigerator amounting to Rs. 17, 000, along with a 2-year extended warranty priced at Rs. 1, 233, availing an exchange offer for my old refrigerator resulting in a discount of Rs. 1, 000. The total bill I paid on that day amounted to Rs. 17, 233. Additionally, as per the sales representative’s assurance, I was promised a complimentary Bajaj iron.
However, upon the delivery of the purchased items the following day, I was presented with a revised bill indicating a total cost of Rs. 16, 634. I immediately noticed a discrepancy in the amount, realizing that the promised Bajaj iron, supposedly offered as a complimentary product, was actually billed at a reduced price of Rs. 599. This realization was deeply concerning, as it indicated a breach of trust and unethical sales conduct.
Subsequently, I approached the store to seek clarification and request a refund of the amount for the Bajaj iron, considering it was initially promised as a complimentary item. To my dismay, the store manager informed me that the Bajaj iron was an add-on product and thus not eligible for a refund. Despite explaining my perspective and asserting that I intended to return the Bajaj iron and reclaim the deducted Rs. 599, I was informed that it was mandatory to purchase the Bajaj iron and that the amount was non-refundable. This response was not only disheartening but also raised serious concerns about coercion in sales practices.
As a regular and loyal customer of Vijay Sales, I have always appreciated the transparency and professionalism demonstrated by your esteemed establishment. However, this recent incident has left me greatly dissatisfied and feeling misled. I strongly believe that this practice of including an additional charge for a supposedly complimentary item is unfair and unethical.
Hence, I earnestly request your intervention and prompt resolution of this matter. I kindly ask for the refund of the Rs. 599 deducted from the revised bill and a reassurance that such misleading practices will not be repeated with any customer in the future. I trust that Vijay Sales holds customer satisfaction and ethical business practices in the highest regard and will take swift action to rectify this situation.
Please consider this letter as a formal request for a refund and an appeal for ethical conduct in sales practices. I eagerly await your prompt response and a favorable resolution to restore my faith in Vijay Sales.
