Vodafone India — Activation of a telemarketers deactivated ID, deactivated under DND | |||
Dear Sir, This is with regards to my DND complaint number [protected] dated 26-March-2015 to Vodafone India my mobile service provider. As per my complaint the Unsolicited Telemarketer's ID was deactivated however it has come to my attention that the telemarketer had created a fake mail account using my name i.e. "vijyant.[protected]@gmail.com" and had used it to send a complaint withdrawal request in order to reactivate his marketing ID. It was absolutely mandatory for the agent to verify if the mail received is from my registered mail id or not and if not then to ignore the request. To my shock this naive agent acted upon this fake mail request and ignored by complaint instead. Upon bringing this to the notice of Vodafone appellate, they simply admitted to the mistake and apologised without any effort to correct the mistake made by them which is also a violation of TRAI's directive. Now the same telemarketer is sending me marketing messages again. I wish for Vodafone to be penalised for taking my privacy so lightly and getting away with violations of TRAI's guidelines.
