Hello,
Vodafone has deactivated my mobile number ([protected]) which i have been using for almost 8-10 years... There was no sms to recharge the number or make a call. When checked with customer care, said that it has been recycled and allotted to someone else due to non-usage.
It is difficult to digest that within 2 days the same number has been allotted to someone else. Also, there was no prior intimation/communication about deactivation.
The issue is, the same number has been linked to aadhar card, banks, policies everywhere.
