I have three mobile connections of vodafone; two at my office address at fountain and one at my residential address at matunga. I was proceeding to canada on 28th june, 2017. By way of abundant caution, i visited the vodafone stores at sion on 20/06/2017 seeking advice about keeping my mobile connections in safe custody and represented to them that during my trip to canada then, i will be only using whatsapp facility through wifi. As i was informed by the person at vodafone store that whatsapp would not be available if the mobiles are kept in safe custody, i preferred to opt for the minimum plan without any roaming facility. Accordingly as advised i deposited a sum of rs.1500/- with the vodafone stores. On my return to india on the night of 24/10/2017 i was shocked to get messages of heavy dues from vodafone. Therefore after somewhat getting over the jetlag i visited the vodafone store in sion again on 2/11/2017 and was baffled and non plussed to learn that my consolidated dues against my three mobile connections worked out to over rs.5000/- after deduction of the advance payment of 1500 made by me on 20/6/2017 against the mobile connections. Not only that the services against one of my mobile connection was already disconnected. When queried about the excessive billing, i was further shocked to learn that the international roaming facility, which i had specifically declined to accept before my departure to canada on 28/6/2017 was activated on 11th july, 2017 during my absence. I therefore protested against this and i am accordingly lodging this complaint. You are requested to lookinto this matter and restore the services of my mobile connection with immeidate effect particularly taking into account, i have never been a defaulter during the last more than 10 years as vodafone customer.
