⦁ I have opted for Rs 199/- plan which I have been using for quite a while
⦁ I traveled to USA on 12th May 2017. But before leaving I paid advance amount so that monthly bill is taken care of
⦁ I enabled International Roaming for Rs 149/- on 25th June 2017 by doing it online but then had to call
vodafone from USA for enabling roaming / making it available. During the process i also paid Rs 3000/- deposit through HDFC netbanking
⦁ Please note that I did not opt for any international roaming plan as intention is just to get OTP passwords/ incoming SMS services from various sites
⦁ Please also note that data usage and data roaming are always OFF on my phone and I am only using internet using Wifi home network
⦁ On 5th July 2017, I created my online account by registering on the website
⦁ I checked that my current outstanding bill was Rs 1867.34
⦁ I was concerned with that number and initiated live chat with an agent - Ramiz - Ramiz informed that this seem to be an ERROR but can be analyzed only after bill is generated on 7th July and there is nothing can be done. Ramiz did inform that it is for GPRS charges and could be because of Data but that Data Usage is 0 KB !!!
⦁ On Next day 6th July, I received SMS alert followed by this email (below) that credit limit has been crossed...Amount now was more than Rs 7000 ...Increase of more than Rs 5000 in just one day !!!
⦁ I called customer service and spoke with Supervisor Mehul and several other folks - who refused to take any complaint and told that service would be disrupted and nothing can be done before bill is generated -- I was also informed that there is some 16.5MB data usage ..Not sure if all of them in last 1 day??? This is absurd..I have not used any data infact even for enabling roaming, I had to call
vodafone on numerous occasions after enabling roaming services on 25th June and eventually got it working only by 28th / 29th June
⦁ Representative suggested disabling PayGo services -- which I am not sure what but agreed to disable to stop further bleeding but not sure
Complaints / Need your help:
⦁ Please ensure that services are not disrupted
⦁ Please confirm receipt of Rs 3000/- on 24th / 25th June 2017 towards deposit
⦁ Please revert the charges as there is no data usage in more than last 1 month (after 12th May till now) -- This amount is due to error as I have screen shot of chat with Ramiz (on 5th July) and also screen shots of
vodafone MyAccount Data Usage tab
⦁ Please guide us with next step - please don't answer common message - "please let bill be generated, pay first and then only dispute..." common answer will NOT be acceptable and we would want you to revert charges, accept the error and then give instant credit of wrong billing / wrong calculation
⦁ Please give me complaint number / tracking number for tracking purpose
At this time - I see that my phone has been disconnected.
Here is how my bill has increased every day:
5th July --> Rs 1867.34
6th July --> Rs. 7000 + (More than 7000)
7th July --> Rs 15053
While I have not received by bill through email, I see that it is generated online..
As per online bill, I see Rs 5000/- one time charges -- NOT SURE WHAT THIS IS FOR as I have not activated any package
Also as mentioned below Rs 7000 + roaming charges is wrong ..data usage of 16 MB is incorrect as Mobile Data and Roaming are always OFF and only reason we have opted for international roaming is to receive OTP and SMS (Incoming only). Have not used data / voice during this time.
Please also note that roaming was requested on 24th June which started working only around 26/27th June 2017.
Please take corrective action at the earliest by removing roaming, one time charges and reinstating mobile services at the earliest.
I am OK with 199 plan + 149 (international roaming) nothing else is chargeable to me.
