Vodafone India — Illegal allotment of my number [protected] to someone else

Hi,

I have been using my vodafone number [protected] for approximately past 9 years but due to unavoidable circumstances i was not using my number from last few months. I had used my number last was in the last week of april, 2017. Thereafter, in the last week of june, 2017 i decided to use my number regularly and i realized that there was no service on my phone. I immediately called vodafone customer care and told them about the issue. They told me that as the number remained unused and no recharge is made since last 45 days, the number has been deactivated. They further asked me to contact the nearest vodafone store and submit documents to activate the number. Then immediately on 2.07.2017, i visited the vodafone store, greater noida and submitted my complaint/ request to activate my number, however, the concerned cce informed me that my number has been allotted to someone else. I was shocked to know about aforesaid allotment of my number to someone else and that too without any prior notice to me. I requested them that i have using my number since last more than 8 years, but no heed was paid to me. I then tried calling that number to check who has been allotted with my number, however, the number was not active. When i informed about the said fact to the cce, he cant help me out.

I am really disappointed with vodafone for this as they did not bother to intimate me even through mail. Just to get new customers they are just ignoring the existing customers. The said number is my registered number with my bank accounts and credit cards. I also have some professional connection connected only through that number.
I have six numbers of vodafone in my family, but now am gonna discontinue all of them with vodafone network if my number is not activated in my name within 7 days of receipt of present complaint. It is hereby further informed to you that in case of any fraud and misappropriation of funds from my bank accounts and credits accounts/ cards for the reason that my above number is connected with all my bank accounts, vodafone shall be solely liable for the same.
In view of the above, vodafone is hereby requested to allot and reactivate my number in my name within 7 days, failing which i shall be constrained to take appropriate legal action, which shall be solely at your cost, risk and consequences.
