Vodafone India — international roaming overcharge | |
Complaint docket number :[protected] I am vashishth joshi, a loyal customer of vodafone for over 10 years. I am compelled to write to you about my complain on high charges levied in my bill for the month of october 2017. I had requested for international roaming after taking all the relevant information from customer care. I had visited algeria and senegal in october 2017 for which i had requested for limited roaming facility. I was informed of only a nominal charge of about inr 100 - 150 per billing cycle, provided i do not use any other extra facilities like incoming / outgoing calls and internet data and all. I was convinced and got the roaming for a month. Upon return to india, i received a bill for the month when i was abroad and there were very high charges levied. I was surprised and called upon the customer care dept. And was attended by some ms. Sonali who informed me that charges was because i had made a call abroad, which i refused to accept as i had never placed any call using indian card. I had my local service provider's card and used its services only. I was then told that evenif i had cut the incoming calls, i would be levied the roaming charges, which was a huge tariff price. I refused to accept it as i was never informed of such things and ask her to get me the recording whereby i was given the information for roaming or check it on your own to be satisfied that no such information was ever conveyed. I then requested to put my complain to higher authority and get it resolved but she was adamant that there is no mechanism for complain for such issue. I was furious as i was being driven to a way where there is no solution but take what they offer (And that is exorbitant charges for the services which you have never used). I ask her to atleast give me a reference number for my complain and she kept denying until i was at a point whereby i had to bring in the legality. Complain number is[protected]Date: 09/11/2017) I am surprised to see that even after waiting for 10 days, no one called me up or send me any communication showing they have taken efforts to resolve the issue. Rather, when i called up again to customer care a man (Mr. Bhanu) who attended me gave me some random information that i had made call for this many minutes and all.. But he again reiterated the same things which i was informed of during my earlier call. Again, there was no solution but false promises that they would look into the matter. I am really very disappointed and would like to change my service provided, if the issue is not resolved. Awaiting your reply. Was this information helpful? | |
