Vodafone India — staff careless attitude

I’v contacted vodafone mg road office in vijayawada twice in this week regarding my connection transfer from post to pre-paid. I’ve been to this branch few days ago and i was waiting for almost 20 minuets and no one bothered to enquire or provide any assistance to me. Most disappointing part is there are barely 8 -10 guest’s and the staff are very relaxed and busy with chatting in their mobile and having fun between the colleagues. Thanks god after a while i had a chance to meet one of the agent and she told me that i need to bring the person on which the connection has been registered. So after couple of days i brought my mother along with me and there even i waited initially for 15 mins and later i managed to find some one at the corner and she gave us instructions that we can’t cancel the post paid before the bill date. So initially we decided to hold on till the month end and after couple of minutes as per my mothers request i decided to cancel now itself. Then i was waiting for the same lady who assisted us earlier however she seems busy, so i approached another counter and the guy told that it’s impossible to cancel at this stage, then i pointed out at her and told that him that she agreed to convert the post to pre-paid at this stage by obtaining the full payment in advance and for which he replied me back rudely that then go to her and do it rather than finding out the proper information from her. Later i waited for another agent almost for 10 mins and i see there were couple agents came back from short break and settled on their desk so i waited for couple of minutes and approached the female name shaleen (Sorry if i spelled wrong), since she’s the one who i dealt with when i came first time to this branch couple of days ago, so i told her the issue and i informed her that i brought my mother in which the connection is registered with. But she rudely replied back saying that don’t you see i just came to my desk and my system is not even properly connected yet. I’m surprised the way each and every agent rudely responds to customers being in a customer service industry. Seems like this branch staff has serious attitude problems and they badly need training on how to respond or treat customers. I’ve been a loyal customer to vodafone since 2007 and it’s been 10 years we haven’t switched our network regardless of challenges we faced with networks as well as other issues but it’s very sad to experience a rude behavior from the customer service agents who are wearing on top of their name tags which says “happy to hlep”. And she told us that go to the corner desk where another colleague durga prasad was sitting and she mentioned that give the proofs to him and then come back here i’ll do the rest. So we approached that counter and mr. Durga prasad is busy dealing with his family friend it seems and he asked me what and i told him the issue but it seems he wasn’t interested and he was talking with his friend and completely neglected me and i asked him clearly are you going to assist me or do i need to go back to her then he called another agent who’s besides him and asked can you take this customer for which the other colleague replied back saying that his system has some problem. So i waited again for 10-15 mins but there is no response from anyone. Even the female who initially assisted me was free but still she didn’t bother to call and look after my issue. So i see another desk agents customer was leaving from the far and i approached that counter and his name is bhanu. When i approached his desk he was about to rush for something and after requesting him he accepted us. So we informed him the nature of the issue and he was polite of all the staff that i met. He agreed to convert the connection and requested for aadhaar copies and a passport size picture, since no one provided us the information to get picture i asked him if i can submit the picture tomorrow however he told the fact that they need to process these documents and proofs everyday by 5pm for all the activations and deactivations which is understandable and he gave me a solution that since he saw my mother he promised me that i don’t need to bring my mother tomorrow when i come with passport size picture. Overall it was a disappointing experience and it spoiled our mood by the way the vodafone customer agents received and treated us, this has given me a green signal to go a head and switch to other network provider and i decided not to recommend vodafone to anyone in future as well. I would appreciate if someone could give me a courtesy call to know better about the inconvenience caused to us as well as to receive some tips on how to provide excellent customer service.
