Vodafone India — took more than 10 days to activate the number | |
I ported my number from Mumbai to Pune in Oct -17 end. I was told that within 6 days the SIM card will get deactivated and a new SIM was issued to me. As expected withing 5 days the original SIM got deactivated. I inserted the new SIM and called up the specified customer care number. Identified myslef, gave my aadhar number and completed the verification. I was told that within 15 minutes the number will be activated and I can proceed with recharge. However for subsequent 10 days recharge simply did not happen because their systems did not activate my number at all. It's after a long gap of 10 days their system activated my number on its own. We were clueless why it's not working for 10 days. Users interested to port their numbers on Vodafone may take a note of this as their procedure for circle transfer and portability is just the same.
