Vodafone India — Tremendously pathetic customer care service

On Thursday, 16th July, my sim suddenly stopped working. The phone would show 'No Service' and I was neither able to make nor take any calls. I called up the concerned regional Vodafone customer care and was told that their systems are down and nothing could be down at that time. Throughout the day I kept calling and the response was still that their systems were down. Finally late in the evening, they registered the complaint and immediately the person cut the call. I was not told the complaint number nor could I ask for the person's name. I called again and told them of the rude event that had just taken place. They finally gave me the complaint no. and I was told the complaint would be resolved by 6pm Monday 20th July. I demanded to talk to the supervisor to complain about the rudeness at which the person had cut the call. The call was put on hold and then cut. Again. The whole episode was so infuriating. Nevertheless, I waited until Monday 6pm and nothing had been done. The sim had not been fixed nor had I received any follow up call from Vodafone. I called again and this time the person tells me that it has not been resolved and that I should wait for another 24 hrs. Already I'm facing difficulties at work with the lack of a fully functioning phone and now I was expected to wait for another day. Again I asked to connect me to the supervisor. The supervisor was busy and I said I'd stay on the line till he was available. In 2 minutes the person cut the call again. This is the 3rd time this happened. The next day the problem STILL hadn't been resolved and when I called the person tell me this-"Sorry Sir, but there isn't any complaint issued on this number". Completely furious at the way things had been handled I went to the nodal office itself, where one of the staff again behaved extremely rudely. The sim problem has been resolved, but with absolutely no help from the Vodafone end. I had to go to some unrelated person who fixed the problem. It took less than 5 minutes. And the customer care had me wait for more than 4 days and still didn't fix it. Please take some action. The behavior of the staff was absolutely appalling. Reconsidering whether I should stay with this service provider.
