Vodafone India — wrong & absurd bill

On 02/11/2017 i received my vodafone bill for mobile number [protected] against the billing period from 01.10.2017 to 31.10.2017. My relationship number is[protected]. An outstanding bill amount of rs 821.28 charged during this period. I can understand each and every part of the bill except the charges deducted against value added service charges. An amount of rs 476.00 charged for calling a special number 51717 of duration 34 minutes 10 seconds on 29/10/2017 at 12:20:17. This special number 51717 according to the bill is a special number under value added services (Vas). The strange thing is that i never called this number from my mobile. After receiving the bill i called this number from my other alternate vodafone number [protected] & [protected] but surprisingly the number does not exist at all. I further searched the number 51717 over google and i discovered that many people had complained earlier regarding absurd billing against the special number 51717. I was extremely disappointed that how this happened to me. I am using vodafone postpaid services for the last 7-8 years but i never faced such humiliating issues. My other alternate vodafone postpaid numbers are [protected] and [protected] which i am using for the last 7-8 years and i had no complains earlier. Later i ported my parents numbers [protected] & [protected] to vodafone for their good services. I never failed nor defaulted any month's bill but after reviving this bill against number [protected] i am quite astonished. I paid an amount of rs 221.00 against the vodafone number [protected] on 21/11/2017 at 18:25:23 transaction id jcmp[protected]. But i did not pay the rest amount as it is absurd and illogical. On 24/11/2017 the outgoing services were blocked due to my non repayment. I called the vodafone helpline number [protected] and lodge the complained and unblocked the barred services. Again on 25/11/2017 the outgoing services were blocked and i called the vodafone helpline number to unblock the barred services. The helpline informed me to clear the outstanding dues so that the services are continued.

Sir, this is very unfair and i think that this is a way to cheat people and take money forcefully.
