Vodafone — Sim change Pre to pre

I am use the Vodafone sim card from 8 to 9 years. now this sim card is damage that's why i went to Vodafone office in amravati main branch at rajapeth by dated 01/01/2016. i submitted there my documents and default sim card. they change the sim card by new sim card and told me your no. is started by 2 days. but still my no.doesn't start. and its my permanent official no. that's why i am facing many problem. and i am dealy going to Vodafone office and dealy they told me, your no.start in end of the day. now what can i do ???
